I have just switched from using Desktop Sidebar to truelaunch bar. however there are some features that desktop sidebar had that I sure wish truelaunch bar has. It has a way to monitor the online status of your microsoft instant messenger buddies aswell it has a better windows media player control function. the reason that i switched from desktop sidebar is that it was a resource hog. they didn't build it smart.

Is there any future for plugins in these areas?

Media Player can be controlled by Media Control. Msn Messenger will be released too.

That was a long time ago u posted that Yuri...

Any update on it?

I'm currently using Desktop Sidebar as it already has plugins for MSN, Gmail, and Outlook (the Outlook plugin directly polls my inbox, unread items etc - really handy), but I really dont like the fact that it uses about an Exabyte of RAM cos of the .net framework, and the amount of room it takes off my desktop
