Hey Yuri,

This is one of those "I'm just curious" questions. Wondering if there is a way to determine how much system resources (cpu/mem) that TLB is taking?

For the Standalone TLB, I assume that it is only running as tlbhost.exe. Is that correct? Or are there other resource factors?

For the integrated taskbar toolbar, is there anyway to see how much cpu/mem it is taking?

Again, just curious...no issues.

Thanks.

True Launch Bar itself is just a DLL. So it don't have own process to measure the CPU time and Used memory. For standalone TLB you can see tlbhost process, this is right. When TLB is integrated into the taskbar the process you need to measure is explorer.exe So you can write down the memory used explorer.exe before TLB and compare this with the memory when TLB is opened. To measure the CPU usage try to use the Process Explorer. It can show the cpu usage by thread in dll. So you can measure the cpu usage for every plugin.

Generally the taskbar integrated TLB takes much less memory then standalone mode. This is because TLB uses many other DLL's that already loaded by Windows Explorer. The cpu usage is same and depends of the plugins you are using. If you don't have any plugin that draw something periodically (net/drive/mail etc. monitors) then TLB eat CPU only on menu opening redraw the buttons on mouse over.
