The default when creating standalone toolbars is "taskbar mode," which means that screen icons (and other standalone toolbars) are moved out of the way of the new toolbar. If I create a new toolbar docked to the take-or-pay(also the default), this causes existing standalone toolbars docked to the left or right to change their positions--to be forced down the screen vertically. This can cause them to bunch up underneath each other, making them hard to find or invoke.

There appears to be no way to change the default for a new standalone toolbar so that it would be created in toolbar mode instead of taskbar mode. Please tell me how to accomplish that, so that my other toolbars are not repeatedly moved down vertically, which required manual repositioning.

I would also like to change the other default settings: to blend with zero delays, for example.

Thanks.

I can open the Toolbar Properties for new toolbars. Is this solve the problem?

No, because the bunching effect takes place immediately when the toolbar is created and before there is any opportunity to change the default from "taskbar mode" to "toolbar mode."

The properties dialog will be opened before toolbar show, so when you press OK, toolbar will be opened in the mode you've selected.

I right-click on empty space in an existing toolbar and select "New Toolbar." I choose an exising folder to be the toolbar, and it appears instantly, in taskbar mode. There is no opportunity to change it, prior to the bunching effect.

Sorry, maybe my english is not so well Sad

I plan to make this feature, it is not released yet. So when you select "New Toolbar" TLB will show:
1) Select toolbar folder dialog
2) Toolbar properties for new toolbar
3) Open toolbar with selected properties

I've prepared the version that works like I described. You can download it here.

Thank you. That solved the problem.

As I have posted elsewhere in this forum, I would like to change the defaults that appear when creating a new toolbar. I want 0 delays and always blend. How can I change the defaults?

Currently the default is the Quick launch folder. I'll try to make the option to change the default folder.

You are not understanding my request. I know that I have to select a folder when creating a new toolbar. That is not the topic of my request.

After selecting a folder, I want the default parameters to be blend, 0, 0, blend, 0, 0, 0, none. How do I make those the default parameters for new toolbars in standalone mode?

OK, now now I see. I can remember the settings for the last created toolbar and apply them to the next toolbar. Is this OK?
