Odd issue, but solved after too many hours of trying to narrow down.
I bought a new laptop (Asus G73H) and was busy installing all my apps when I came across the dreaded "Black Screen of Death" so many have been seeing the last few months. After logon, you'll see a white cursor and a blank screen - google for more info"
My problem was caused by copying all my custom toolbars from my old machine to the new one. After using Acronis True Image, I reinstalled and built the toolbars from scratch and so far no problems (RC2 TLB on W7x64 Home Prem) It took 4 or 5 installs to finally narrow it down. Unless it's a time bomb type issue, I'm confident this was the cause of the problem.
