I was a happy user of TLB (legit) 4.4 x64 until I made the foolish descision to upgrade to 5.5
After the upgrade, my explorer.exe process keeps crashing and restarting every 30secs.
And my TLB became unresponsive and it shows as being a DEMO instead of the full version.
I'm dying to find a 4.4 x64 installer again to restore my perfectly working previous version again

thx!

True Launch Bar v4.4 (64 bit) is here.

For version 5.x you have to enter the key again.

What is your Windows version? Please can you send me a backup of your toolbar? I'll try to find the problem.

I have the same problem. Installed 5.5 over 5.4, rebooted, and explorer.exe error pops up about every 30 seconds. I kept clicking to restart the process explorer.exe and after a while an error pops up saying explorer.exe was no longer responding.

I quickly uninstalled TLB 5.5 between explorer.exe errors, rebooted, and installed 5.4. Now everything is back to normal. Never had any problem with TLB until installing 5.5 today.

I'm using Windows 7 Ultimate x64 SP1.

Hi Yuri & brim,

Thanks for your responses!
Yes, I'm using Win7 Pro x64 sp1 as well.
Never had any issues with TLB x64 v4.4 before.
Somehow I was able to uninstall 5.5 and repair 4.4 (which was also still on the system somehow), and all is working fine again!
I'll send you a backup from my TLB Yuri.

Cheers, Paul.

You can use version 5.4. It is stable on x64 Windows.

Okay, I'll give it a go, I think Smile
Last time I also upgraded from within TLB from 4.4 to 5.5, but 4.4 wasnt really removed/overwritten as both were in the software uninstall list, and after uninstalling 5.5, I was able to repair 4.4 without any reinstall. So I'm wondering what's best course of action, removing 4.4 first, then installing 5.4 and then restoring the TLB backup I made earlier?

Thanks!
Paul.

The installer has changed since version 4.4 so the entry in the software uninstall list will be there. It is safe to install 5.4 without uninstalling v4.4, but if you want to remove the entry from the the software uninstall list you have to uninstall 4.4 firstly.
