When I originally posted this I treated the behaviour vis-a-vis large drives as a bug, but I have reconsidered and re-posted this message under the 'I wish' forum. I would delete it from here but I don't seem to be able to!

I love the virtual folders feature but have 2 issues with them that I would like to see resolved somehow:

1) A couple of my VF's are network shares. One is to the root of a Win2K server and sometimes when my mouse hovers too long over the I386 directory I have a long wait while the taskbar loads a vast directory listing. I appreciate that nothing can be done to make the directory load quicker, but it would be nice if it happened in a background thread so that it didn't hang the taskbar while it is happening.

2) I use TLB on my laptop. This means that sometimes the network drive to which a VF corresponds is not available and then later (because I use Hibernate a lot) it is.

What this leads to is the occasional situation where I bring the system back up on the network but the VF doesn't seem to see the network drive. Even if I open it in explorer the VF still doesn't refresh.

I would either like the VF to re-verify network shortcuts each time it uses them, or for TLB to provide a convenient means to refresh the VFs.

In any case TLB is an excellent product and well worth the money.

Regards,

matt.
