- PaulyP - 11-09-2001 I have only just seen the place to add a review of the TLB and so put my review on instantly as some of the posts are old and very wrong. Get on there now if you haven't already and get supporting this great toolbar!! Paul Parkinson :-) - Doug Smith - 11-09-2001 Actually I think Chisato Mishima has it pretty well covered at the TLB FAQ site see http://truesoft.getmehosted.com/detail.php?id=47 - Ustas - 11-09-2001 As I know from practice, the best promotion is publishing in the forums. Some of users post articles like "Look on My desktop", and after this I get a lot of visits from forum. - PaulyP - 11-09-2001 I have already done that Ustas on the Windows XP customise forum and any other forum I'm on. I just think that if you are advertising the place to look at reviews on your front page it can't hurt to make sure that there are some good ones on there, posted by the people who use it regularly and like it. After all, if I or anyone else, directs people to your site and then they look at the reviews on cnet that you have advertised, and read lots of bad reviews, even though they are old and outdated ones, who's going to buy it? Also there are thousands of people that use cnet so having NEW more relevant reviews on there from the people who have a registered version of TLB can surely only be a good thing. Doug - while I agree that Chrisato has covered these points in the FAQ, many people only look at the FAQ when they have a problem and wouldn't necessarily think to look at how to promote it. Drawing peoples attention to it here though I think is a good thing as this is probably the most frequently viewed area; do you not agree? Well I'd like to see other peoples reviews and comments on there anyway so here's hoping a few more people head over there. :-) - Captain Caveman - 11-12-2001 If you really do want more users using your software maybe new features should be reserved for another release and a final be put out. Alot of people won't run beta software no matter if its good or not. - Ustas - 11-13-2001 Yes , you are right ,Captain Caveman. The next version will be Release Candidate. And after small test will be Release. I think the some last beta versions is stable enough for **Final Relase** - Ustas - 11-13-2001 Paul, Thank you for review on CNET - Eric J Johnson - 11-13-2001 I would just like to say.. I have posted a few reviews on at cnet and they never post them... it is really starting to upset me a little... Do they not post reviews that sound "To good to be true" or technical? *sigh* - rich - 11-13-2001 Hi Yuri, The link cnet has to a true launch screenshot is broken. http://true-soft.chat.ru/tlb/bin/sh1.jpg Rich - Ustas - 11-13-2001 Yes I know about broken link to screenshot. Also there are no a link to TLB home page. I post changes some month ago but they do accept them while. I posted changes some times but nothing happaned. CNET do thing too long - Eric J Johnson - 11-13-2001 I am going to contact CNet and ask why they never post my reviews of TrueLaunchBar! - Ustas - 11-13-2001 I have tried to contact them some time ago. But all they say is We have too many post. And we publish changes as soon as posible. May you will be more lucky |
