Have run TLB on x86 for a long time, never saw this problem, ever. But now on x64 XP, and getting AVs all the time. I tried the DLL update presented in the Jan 17 post. It may have helped some, but as a rule I continue to get at least one AV (which kills explorer) every 2-3 hrs.
Today I've gotten 5 AVs in the last 2hrs which is why I'm finally posting here.
Always occurs when I attempt to access a TLB menu. I have a few regular TLB shortcuts, and have never seen the AV occur accessing them, but I don't access them as often as the menus. It is intermittent, I see no pattern. After recovering from AV, I repeat same steps and usually do not get AV the 2nd try.
Read the other posts here, I think my symptoms match exactly. But I do not know what a "predefined history" menu is, have never seen or used that as far as I know.
I'm a developer, will do whatever I can to help you resolve this. I'm not experienced debugging AV problems in 3rd party apps though.
I've got an NVidia GeForce 8800 GTS. I'm running dual-CPU, dual core box. Maybe this is a multi-threading problem? I've just now narrowed CPU affinities for explorer to a single CPU to see if this has any effect on my AV rate.
mikegood, please can you test this version

New DLL is installed, and I've reset explorer to use all CPUs. Tried clicking around to cause the AV, could not. But then I never really could get it to happen on purpose.
Thanks for the quick response, I will keep you posted.

Not sure if was AV or not this time. As I was moving my mouse back and forth over TLB menus, causing them to popup--trying to cause an error to occur faster than normal--my explorer start bar & TLB just disappeared. This looked exactly like the problem I've been having all along.
But when I went to TaskMgr to start new instance of explorer, I noticed old instance was still there in the processes tab this time. Just invisible. I had to kill the old instance, then run new explorer in order to get my start bar and TLB back. I don't recall having to kill the old explorer instance in the past, I'm pretty sure it was already gone.
I wish I could send more info, but I don't see any dump files, nothing in the event logs, and clearly this is only happening when I do something to cause a new TLB menu to popup.
I'm trying to make TLB64 more stable. I've prepared the small application. Please can you test this application on Windows Vista 64-bit or Windows XP 64-bit: http://download.truelaunchbar.com/test/test-64.zip
It must to show the message box. Press YES. Is there crashes?
Thank you very much.

There was no message box to press "Yes".
I am unable to attach the mini dump because it is too large. Let me know if you want me to email it to you.

Hi Yuri
Any news about the 64 bit Explorer crashing issue? I'm still having it and must admit, it's quite annoying and disturbing in my daily work.
Hope there will be a new version to test soon.
Thanks

Anyone here?
I plan to release the new version today. 32-bit version is available already, when 64-bit version will be ready I'll make the announce.

Hi
I'm sorry to inform I'm still getting the same crashed on my Vista 64 bit. I'll see if I can start from scratch configuring it, to see if that might be part of the solution, though it's quite a pain.
