I know how to make a menu sort its items, but how to do that with items on a toolbar?
I figured it out. I was right clicking on blank space in the toolbar. Instead, you have to have an icon highlighted, then right click in order to get the context menu where sorting of the toolbar is offered.

It is possible to overwrite the context menu, but you always can hold down CTRL+SHIFT and right-click to open the default context menu with all items.

What? That seems to do nothing different from merely right clicking.
