Very well done .. I also wouldn't mind getting the TLB Plugin skins that you've made.

Thanks Big Grin

Once I get my icon website off the ground, I'll switch back into skinning mode and get the skins ready for release. I need to add more layouts to fit more size toolbars and update the skin.ini files. One of the skins I made (weather monitor) is already out of date now that Yuri has released version 1.2, but updating it doesn't look like it will be terribly difficult.

shapeshifter, do you know a free browser called "MyIE2"?
(more like an Internet Explorer extension IMHO)
If you don't, you might want to check it out. Wink
Not only is it an excellent "tabbed" browser, but it supports skins. Big Grin
MyIE2
Very friendly support forums too. Smile

Thanks for the tip, I'll check it out.

I've got a question. What would I need to add a simple "chat" sidebar area to my web page? We're talking very basic here - a form field to enter an alias, one for maybe an email address or URL, and a third for a short message, followed by the ubiquitous reset and submit buttons. When submit is pressed, the alias is formatted into a link to the email address or web page, then added, along with the timestamped message, to the web page underneath the form elements for all to see. I'd like to be able to display the most recent 10 or 15 messges. Would something like that require a server-side application to be running, or could it be done (almost afraid to ask this, as it will surely expose my utter ignorance) with php? Any assistance is greatly appreciated.

This can be done using php, which is a server-side code, so your webhost would need php to be implemented. Wink
A mysql database would help. but this can also be done using flat files. Smile
If you can make a mock-up of what you'd like it to look and behave like, I'll see if I can write the code for you. Smile

That's what I was afraid of Sad

My ISP really blows. I get 25 megs of plain-old vanilla webspace. If I can't make it run with HTML, JavaScript and the like, it doesn't run. I get no mysql, no php, no cgi, nothing but virtual real estate.

Maybe I should look into finding a real web host.

Hmmmm... anybody interested in hosting my web page? Wink

That would be great, Yuri! Thank you very much Big Grin
How much would you charge? I wouldn't need much space, just 5, maybe 10 megs. At first, I'll just have icons, and maybe some skins. Later, I plan on adding tutorials and a section for tips and tricks. If you're interested, I have a rough draft of the main page up. I'm just hammering out the layout right now. The graphics and color scheme are likely to change.

Very nice of you, Yuri. Big Grin
Well, I usually work with MySQL but have worked with flat-files in the past.
I'll brush up on the subject and will try to make you a rough version of your chat and news features. Wink
One question though, shapeshifter: how many posts and news would you like to appear on the page? Smile

Thanks a lot, Denis Big Grin We'll start with 10 of each for now, I guess. It souldn't be that hard to tweak later, right?

shapeshifter, I'm having some problems with my email account, so here is the code you asked me for. Smile

onfocus="this.select(); this.style.color='#ff0000'"

Replace the red in the example by black (or whatever you want the color to be on focus), and change the initial value in your css. Wink
