Windows Version: Microsoft Windows 2000 Professional Service Pack 2 (Build 2195)
Shell Version:5.0.3315.2902
Internet Explorer Version: 6.0.2600.0000

If you D&D an Internet address from IE to IE link bar it works well.

If you D&D an Internet address from IE to True Launch Bar it works well.

It you D&D from IE Link bar to True Launch Bar you will get error box when you try to use link as below

This internet shortcut cannot be opened because it failed to run

This is not consistent with WQL. With WQL you can D&D from IE link bar to WQL.

I think this should be corrected because True Launch Bar is superior but compatible with WQL

Thank you.

My further research into this problem.

True Launch Bar only has this problem with shortcut to link not copy of link.

For example. If I D&D link to my desktop then it will work correctly.

Now I D&D the link to True Launch Bar. By default True Launch Bar will make shortcut for this link. This will not work as previously described. This is a bug.

If I right click and D&D and make a copy or move the link to True Launch Bar then it will work.

So True Launch Bar has bug in not making correct shortcut when D&D from IE and from other parts of desktop (active desk - toolbars etc) I hope this will be corrected soon.

** Regrettably True Launch Bar is still unable to D&D IE links with double byte characters such as any sites in Japanese or Chinese.

My further research with True Launch Bar, D&D and folders has revealed an obscure defect in the action of D&D with regard to True Launch Bar.

I made a second True Launch Bar to store IE links. This bar is active at the same time as my main True Launch Bar. I have two True Launch Bar active on the screen at the same time.

If I D&D (copy or move NOT make shortcut because that does not work) to my main True Launch Bar I can hover over any closed folder and the folder will auto open to allow the drop of the link into the folder.

This does not work on second active bar. Folders remain closed.

I have checked TLB settings and they are setup identically.

OK, I reproduce all bugs you described and will fix them in the next version.
BTW: True Launch Bar make incorrect link to all Internet Shortcut files. Not only when dragging from IE Links toolbar.
One more bug with two toolbars - incorrect hotkeys.

Thank you very much for your attention to this. I feel compatibilty with WQL is absolutely essential as most users first use WQL and only then they can understand how much better True Launch Bar is.

I am glad to help improve True Launch Bar.
