I lost this option when I installed the latest beta version (1.10.12) when I right click on a folder or even on the true launch bar itself.
I have tried to uninstall and reinstall but the problem remains.
Do you have removed this option in the new beta ?

My specs:

Windows 98 SE
Pentium III 600
128 RAM

Hello Martin2,

I think virtual folder & menu & are now combined as new "menu."

Select new|menu

& use the "select menu location" on the dialog that pops up, to pick the "virtual" folder this menu is linked to.

HTH,

Rich

Thanks for your reply rich but I don't have this option (Virtual Folder) using the beta version.
When I uninstalled and then installed the official version the virtual folder option is back again.
I will try the new release (.014RC1) and give a feedback later.

Hello, Martin.
The Virtual Folders will stay as technology name. But the way you can create these folders is changed.
To create Virtual Folder select New|Menu and press Select menu location button to select the folder you want to add as virtual. The other way to create Virtual Folders is drag the folder using right mouse button from explorer to TLB panel, when dropping you can see the menu, select Create Menu Here.
BTW. In the FAQ all this described.

Yuri,
I can't create a virtual folder inside an existing menu.
If I drag an drop a folder inside the existing menu, the new folder is created but when I click on this new folder a strange file named "namespace.fld" appears.
Its very strange because I don't have this problem using the version 1.0.10.0 and I can create virtual folders without problems.
Any suggestion ?

Now I understand Smile
You cannot create the Virtual Folders inside other Virtual Folder. Only toolbar or simply menu can contain Virtual Folder. If you want this feature I include it in my To-Do List.

Thanks, Yuri.
I would like to suggest you to include this feature in the To-Do list.
I have another question about beta versions :
Some menus don't popup their names (blue tooltip) when you point the mouse over, even with this option checked and I don't have this problem with the version 1.0.10.0, why ?

Now in the Virtual Folders tooltips taken from the Windows Shell (File Type/Size, Coments). This work fine on Win2000/XP/Me but some problems with win98. I'll correct this situation soon.
