Possible to have an keyboard overrride for AUTO-HIDE ?

Some time ago it was said here in these forums that AUTO-HIDE was a Windows function and that TLB did not have anything to do with it.

At the top of my screen I have got two TLB's one above the other and both are set to AUTO-HIDE. If I bring my cursor to the top of the screen too quickly then then two TLBs appear even though I am trying to access somethig else!

Is it possible to have something like a keyboard key (eg. SHIFT) which the user could hold down and which would prevent a taskbar that has got AUTO-HIDE from appearing?

Generally I've found only the way to disable the hiding toolbar. The ways to block toolbar from appearing are very non-standard and can cause TLB instability.
