Edit: Use this: https://github.com/valinet/ExplorerPatcher
It puts quick-launch back into the taskbar. It is exactly what you are looking for.
Cost: Free

///OLD POST - IGNORE THIS///
Currently, if you go to regedit and add a value you can enable the old taskbar in Windows 11. I am not sure how long this will last.

First: Disable the Search box on the new taskbar in Windows 11 though settings. The reason is that it will be broken. I am not sure if you can disable it afterwards as I can't seem to find the setting.

Second: Navigate to 'HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Shell\Update\Packages' via the Registry, create a new DWORD (32-bit) called “UndockingDisabled†and set its value to 1. Then restart your PC and the changes will be applied.

Third: Add TLB as you like in the toolbar.

It seems they partially changed this old taskbar and then replaced it. I am not sure if this was work that was done before they scrapped it, or if they are updating the old taskbar for people that are advanced enough to enable it themselves. I imagine as time goes on this might not be an option anymore.

Note:
Search will be broken. Disable it before applying registry value through settings.
Cortana will be broken.
Start menu will be broken. I use https://open-shell.github.io/Open-Shell-Menu/ to get a start menu back.
Volume system tray icon will be missing, so install Eartrumpet off the Windows Store. https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/p/eartrumpet/9nblggh516xp?activetab=pivot:overviewtab
Network icon will be missing.
TLB will work!

Update: This explains how to get network  and other icons back https://www.tomshardware.com/how-to/windows-11-look-like-windows-10

Try this

https://www.xda-developers.com/startisba...indows-11/

https://startisback.com/tbd/

I've used StartisBack on win10 forever. Just worked great. This new beta version for win 11 gives the menu plus a classic toolbar. I have TLB and netspeedmonitor on show.

Happy days :-)

This is evidently the paid version that is similar to what is above. http://startisback.com/tbd/

TLB is triggired via Quick Launch toolbar.
I did not yet tried but, none of these softwares mention about Quick Launch toolbar.
So, how will TLB be implemented on Win-11 without Quick Launch?

By putting quick launch back in by disabling the new taskbar and enabling the old one.

That’s all this does, put the old taskbar back in. No new software. Windows 11 just hid the Windows 10 taskbar, it’s still inside explorer.exe (at least for now).

This thread is a guide to enable the old taskbar that is just hidden.

Explorer patcher has updated quite a bit since my last post and one of the more recent features is the part that it now can update itself.

I've tried both ExplorerPatcher and StartAllBack softwares.
All I can say about the result; StartAllBack is the obvious winner.

If you want to use TLB on a Win11 PC, I suggest you also install StartAllBack.

For me the best way to use TLB on a Windows 11 laptop is StartAllBack taskbar on the top and standalone TLB on the bottom. For Windows 10, its native taskbar on the top and TLB on the bottom.
