Update to 4.0 on WinNT does not work

Hi,

I just updated to 4.0. It was a catastrophe.
The toolbar simply does not show anymore.
Uninstalling it leaves the truelaunchbar entry in the toolbars submenu, so I guess even the uninstall didn't work properly.
Reinstalling gives the same result, I try to open the toolbar, but it simply does not show.
The standard windows launch bar works fine.

If I try to start tlbhost.exe, it simply explains, that the function MonitorFromWindow in user32.dll could not be found.

I use WinNT 4 with SP6a and Internet Explorer 5.5.
TrueLaunchbar 2.13 Beta worked fine, but I can't find that version on your webpages anymore...

tlbHost is not compatible with NT4 but TLB must be compatible. I've tested TLB v4.0 on Windows NT4.

Please can you run the command:

regsvr32 "C:\Program Files\TrueLaunchBar\tlb.dll"

Is there any error?

The regsvr32 command answered with an LoadLibrary("tlb.dll") failed.
GetLastError returns 0x57.

OK, the biggest need is gone, I installed Freelaunchbar and it works like a charm, the missing Truelaunchbar features will be missed, but it isn't urgent anymore!

I just went through the registry, deleting anything that remotely looked, like it belonged to the TrueLaunchbar, but to no avail.

You can also try the TLB version 3.2:

Well, that is strange, version 3.2 doesn't work anymore, too? Registration of tlb.dll failed with the same error code.

Oh well, something is seriously amiss with my sytem I guess....
At least it works under XP like a charm!
