Transparent menu background Win XP

Is it possible to have transparent background menues on Win XP?
Mean to have opaque icons and labels but transparent background?
Did some searching and the topics found focused more on transparent toolbar.

This feature in my todo list. I'm not sure about XP but it will be 100% released for Vista.
