Media Control not functioning at all? what am i doing wrong?

Hi,

ive used TLB for a long time without any Plugin problems! After a one year break i wanted to came back and use it again! Now i encountered a strange behaviour with the Media Control plugin? I do not know how to solve it!

• # ive tried the Universal Player Plugin but - when i press the "Play" Button just the Mediaplayer (WA and AIMP) is opened but i cant control anything!
  # the Winamp Plugin is not shown at all in the Media Control Properties?[/list:u]
  
  Specs -> WinXP SP3 and TLB 5.60 with AIMP 3 beta 901 and Winamp 5.60 installed!

First download and install the Winamp support for Media Control plugin.

The copy the gen_TlbRemoteWA.dll from the Winamp plugins folder into the AIMP plugins folder. Now you can control AIMP with Universal Player in the Media Control.

Play Pause Stop and Skip is functioning without any problems so far!

but?

I cant choose any Song to play in the Songlist (all Songs are shown!)?

- the actual played Song is only restarted no matter which Song i choose!
- on a fresh start of AIMP only the last played Song ist started (again no matter which Song i choose)!

Hmm... This looks like AIMP don't 100% compatible with Winamp extensions

First download and install the Winamp support for Media Control plugin.

The copy the gen_TlbRemoteWA.dll from the Winamp plugins folder into the AIMP plugins folder. Now you can control AIMP with Universal Player in the Media Control.

Hi I'm your customer , I did all steps u mentioned here (installing mc-winamp.exe)... all unsuccessfully (I needed to have installed Winamp?)! , well, I installed Winamp, then, I got the .dll and my Media control plugin is still frozen without none options working, please see the file attached with all the errors trying install without Winamp installed (I think you needed mention in your help that app needs to be installed before) . You need to know my media control plugin was working fine (one month aprox.), appearing just when WMP starts and hiding when WMP was closed, I worked well with all the AIM skin player options on it (showing music name title running on top, etc.), but now... nothing works on it! .
Please tell me, if I all reinstall Truelaunch bar (I already reinstalled the tlbmediactl.exe) could I lose all my Plugins settings? ...
Trust me, the Media Control plugin were the must used, and I'm taking work's time trying to fix it with your support , I hope in Christ to receive your asap response shortly.

JesusInside, usually reinstalling True Launch Bar don't help, although all settings will be saved after reinstalling.

Check the AIMP settings->Plugins->Winamp general tab. Are there TLB Remote control plugin? Also this plugin must be loaded.

Sorry, trust me, I'm not a geek pc user , please can u tell me: 01) where are ''Check the AIMP settings->Plugins->Winamp general tab'' located?, 02) When I be there, how to recognize the TLB Remote control plugin?, that is its same file name?, 03) and how to know if this plugin is loaded?, 04) Do I need to install AIMP, 05) where can I download it?
When u say ''AIMP settings'' are you referring to the ''Media control properties''?
I searched and can not find what you mention!

"AIMP Settings" this is the settings of the player (application) AIMP. See the attached screenshot.

Hi, I followed your steps and that tab "Winamp General'' is totally empty! , thus, what step I need to do in orde make the ''Media control'' works as before. (my most used plugin! )

1. Download this file
2. Unzip and copy gen_TlbRemoteWA.dll into the folder Plugins in the AIMP installation folder (something like C:\Program Files\AIMP3\Plugins)
3. Restart AIMP

this must to help.

I did it and test it.... unsuccessfully! the media control skin ''LCDMedia'' (and others) has all buttons out of work! , maybe some not done step? Gby. bye.

Is the plugin appear in the AIMP Settings?
