Have Windows 7, 64 bit addition. None of the TBL plugins show up in the 'new' menu. Have tried uninstalling and reinstalling and they always are downloaded, and installed 'successfully' using TLB Components Manager. Tried using regsvr32 with admin, but that did not work either. Support said that I have "a problem in my registry, but they could not work it out. Has anyone else had this problem?

Sorry, something wrong with our communication by email. I don't get answer on my last email Sad

Well, some summary: You've installed Turn Off Computer. And you don't have the registry key:
HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID\{76E81AEA-3C5B-4CCA-BA26-9630E69AB5AE}

As I understand the command:
regsvr32.exe "C:\Program Files\TrueLaunchBar\plugins\turnoff\turnoff.dll"
Does not show any error, but the registry key does not appear after running regsvr32.

I've attached the .reg file. This file will import the registry keys for Turn Off Computer plugin. Please unzip and run (double click) turnoff.reg to import the registry keys. Then restart True Launch Bar and see plugin appear in the "New" submenu.

Ran your .reg file, and ran
regsvr32.exe "C:\Program Files\TrueLaunchBar\plugins\turnoff\turnoff.dll"
as administrator. Logged off and on. Still have nothing "new" under the "new" menu.

Is the registry key HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID\{76E81AEA-3C5B-4CCA-BA26-9630E69AB5AE}
exists now?

No sir. CLSID has no values, as I reported in our last email exchange. I did find it exists for "local" when I searched for the number (HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Classes\CLSID\{76E81AEA-3C5B-4CCA-BA26-9630E69AB5AE}).

Hmm... very interesting. Looks like something blocks the adding values into HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID Confused Do you use any anti-malware or antivirus software? Sometimes they can block access to the registry.

The HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT must contain the values from HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Classes

Please can you try to disable AVG and install plugins?

Yes sir, that's the first thing I tried. The situation is still the same (plugins do not show up). Can not understand how I could be the first with this problem. You must have tested Windows 7, 64bit, or at least some other customer would be having the same problem as me.
Am I the only one with this problem?

True Launch Bar is tested on Windows 7 64bit. And you are the first who reported this problem.

Something wrong with your system if even importing .reg file does not create the registry keys needed for plugins. BTW try to create the registry keys from regfile attached to my previous post in the regedit manually. Also please check the permissions of HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT and CLSID subkey.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------
PCSupport (http://pcsupport.about.com/od/termshm/g/...s_root.htm)
says;
"The HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Classes key corresponds to the HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT key, which was retained for compatibility with earlier versions of COM."

This would explain why the reg file you sent me didn't work. The CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID has no values on my machine. The HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE has values for 76E81AEA-3C5B-4CCA-BA26-9630E69AB5AE.

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Classes\CLSID\{76E81AEA-3C5B-4CCA-BA26-9630E69AB5AE}]
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\True Software\TrueLaunchBar\plugins\{76E81AEA-3C5B-4CCA-BA26-9630E69AB5AE}]
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\True Software\TrueLaunchBar\Uninstall\{76E81AEA-3C5B-4CCA-BA26-9630E69AB5AE}]

I don't understand much about the registry, but again CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID has no values on my machine.

Found the permissions for CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID. Changed them and now I can see the values.

Hey, now I just found out now that everything works! Must have been that change in permissions. Don't understand, do you?

Maybe windows fixed the problem when you've changed something?

So, is the problem is solved now? Do you have access to the plugins now?
