Previously I have created a small tlb toolbar, comprising of a folder with shortcuts in, to then be dragged onto the desktop. (as opposed to keeping the toolbar in the taskbar.)

The idea being that I could click on the folder icon and the menu would appear. There has already been some thought in this area because it is possible to remove the toolbar header, making the toolbar look more like a button. This is great however I find the present situation misses the mark.

The ideal, that I would obviously love to see, is this:

An Icon representing a specified folder or drive that is placed on the desktop or anywhere when clicked on would reveal the menu of the contents (in the way tlb does best).

Realistically:

Making the toolbars (when separated from the taskbar), that we have now, adjust to the size of an icon and have the option the make the background transparent.

Yours sincerely

If I understand you correctly, you'd be happy with a TLB transparency setting that ranges from completely opaque to completely transparent, that does NOT affect the icons and other content of that toolbar. If that's the case, then I agree. I've wanted something like that for a very long time Smile
