Plugin Icon as a menu...

Hi
One small idea: to be able to make a plugin icon also a menu.
For example I would like to have the icon of Weather Underground today condition that, on mouse hover, pops up tonigth and tomorrow condition as a menu.
Is this feasible? Does it interest others users?
