I've been pretty patient. Any news? I'm not even using the product due to the issues I'm having.

Please can you run the Standalone True Launch Bar (tlbHost). Is there the same bug?

Apologies Yuri, but I don't understand.

How do I do that? Should I uninstall and just run this exe? Sorry again, but I'm unsure what you're referring to.

If you have TLB installed, open Start->Programs->True launch Bar->Standalone True Launch Bar

I'm thinking about something like incompatibility with one of the Windows Explorer add-ons. Running Standalone True Launch Bar will exclude the Windows Explorer.

Other thing I wanted to ask you to try. Can you create the folder somewhere on your disk. The open TLB. During click the "True Launch Bar..." in the toolbars menu hold down CTRL+SHIFT keys. TLB will ask you for toolbar folder. Select the folder you've created. This will open the clear TLB with the default settings. Now create menu and try how this clear TLB works.

Other experiment. Can you create new user? Log on as this user and try TLB.

We must find the TLB state when it works stable. And then compare this stable state with unstable. The crash reports you send me looks like the incompatibility with something. But I can't to find with what Sad

Anyway contact me by MSN. I have some other ideas now.

Update:

TLB Standalone (Tlbhost.exe) works with no issues. I have not had it crash once and I'm able to do what I need with it. I have sent Yuri a list of my DLL's that I use for explor.exe and are awaiting a possible explanation as to what is causing the issue.

Thanks to Yuri for all the help!

I too have experienced no problems using TLB Standalone.

There has to be something running that is conflicting when TLB is integrated with explorer. I have no idea what could be causing the issue, but I'm sure Yuri is looking at the DLL's we use and possibly comparing since we seem to have the same (or similar) issue.

JeRrYFaR, I've inspected the DLL's list you send me. The utility allSnap can cause the crashes. I've downloaded and installed it but my dll version is: 1.03.0005.0000 but your dll version is 1.03.0002.0000 So I guess you have the old version of this utility (I tested the version 1.30.6)

This new version is working well. As I remember there were the problems with similar software. Please can you update or disable allSnap and test TLB?

I'm actually using a newer beta of the program. It's odd that it would have an older DLL associated to it? Anyow, I'll test that and see if that's the case. I'm using the following:

allSnap Version 1.32.0 Beta
Ivan Heckman
Copyright © 2002

Ivan Heckman is the same gentleman that runs lockergnome. The website for the program is located here:

http://www.cs.utoronto.ca/%7Eiheckman/allsnap/

Could he really be using an OLDER version of a DLL on a NEWER version of software? Confusedhock:

Either way, I will test that and get back to you. :-)

edit:

Just confirmed it. The DLL for the beta is a newer DLL, however I will test the previous version as it's not a beta and see what happens:

1.30.6 - 1.03.0000.0005
1.32 Beta 0 - 1.03.0002.0000

As I see the problem appear only when allSnap is enabled. I'll try to resolve the incompatibility.

That would be awesome. Hopefully allsnap is the culprit. Appreciate all your help Yuri...
