I am behind a router, so when I use netmonitor it gives me my internal IP, and I'm wondering if there is a way I can add my external IP to my TLB - whether by using a script or a plugin. I used to use CoolMon, but now TLB seems to handle everything I want to see except for the option to view my external IP. ???

Any suggestions or help would be appreciated. Smile

This is possible by using Weather Monitor. I'll try to make provider and skin.

I have a external.vbs script that I use for coolmon and I thought I might be able to use it through the weather monitor but not quite sure how Id go about it. So I would really appreciate you getting a provider and skin thaat would be bitchen. Thanks Yuri

If you're running a local web server, post the ip address to a web page and then parse it with Weather Monitor.

I use this method to get additional information for some of my WM based skins... Big Grin

Well Im not running a web server but I do run an ftp and do alot of gaming and my external ip changes occasionally so I like to keep it on my desktop cause Im lazy Big Grin and that is what I used coolmon for but Im trying to stop using that program cause TLB does everything. I do know two providers that do this one is http://www.whatismyip.com and the other is http://checkip.dyndns.org/ but I add one to the url section in weather monitor and it doesnt work so I am doing something wrong or it needs a proper skin not sure Wink

OK, how about zipping up what you've got so far and let me see what I can do. I'll PM you my email address.

I've looked at both the webpages and they seem fine!

OK, I can see what's needs to be done! I need to know what style you have in mind? Do you have a themed desktop I could use as a reference?

Let me know, and I'll set to work!

OK. Here's what I've made:

It's a skin that uses Weather Monitor, and as I got two different results from http://www.whatismyip.com and http://checkip.dyndns.org/ (my real IP, and my cable NAT), I've included a zip inside the attached ZIP file with provider files for both of them.

Have fun, and hope it helps! Big Grin
