While researching the error discussed by Mr. Johnson I was reminded of a minor issue I raised a few months ago.

True Launch Bar will not drag and drop *anything* to the last position on the True Launch Bar.

In this illustration I want to drop into the blank space position indicated by the red arrow. I cannot. True Launch Bar will only allow drop into the position indicated by the black I-bar.

Of course it is a minor thing to then move the adjacent button to the left making the newly dropped item the end button but this is not consistent with WQL.

Anyone else willing to give it a shot? Wink

Just tried this on my win2k sp2 machine. I was able to drag to the last position. Sorry, can't re-create the bug here.

Please create a 2nd toolbar (as per the illustration) and re try. I think you'll find the error occurs on that 2nd toolbar not on the taskbar docked True Launch Bar.

I think I need to be more specific - I'm sorry.

Try to drag a URL *from* the IE address window to the space at the end of the 2nd Toolbar.

Alternatively try to drag a button from the first toolbar to the end space of the 2nd toolbar.

Thank you for trying this.

Thank you for your feedback. Therefore I must do more research and find the reason this is happening only on my system.

I expect it is a conflict with some other program I am using. I will test and report back.

Well after much research I have been able to duplicate the problem. It is very, very obscure. It is a combination of the width of the toolbar, the number of buttons on the toolbar, the type of cursor being used and the position of the cursor when dropping the dragged item. I was able to eliminate the problem by manupulating these items. I doubt any user will ever unearth such a minor mis-function.

Should it ever happen the answer is to simply change the width of the toolbar by a minute amount.

I think this thread can be closed.

Thank you for your co-operation.
