There seems to be a serious problem with Quick Reply in the latest version of Mail Monitor. There is no confirmation box when sending, there is no error message box if sending fails, and worst of all: messages actually doesn't seem to get through.

I've managed to get a reply through on one of my accounts when replying to myself, but only when using smtp from the same domain as my e-mail address. It doesn't work at all on my other accounts, even when using their smpt. The Connection log shows this for one account: "553: sorry, your envelope sender is not acceptable here (#5.7.1)". And always this: "Must use comma to separate addresses: (my last name here)".

I seem to have the same problem. Sad
God knows how long it would have taken for me to discover it.

Thank you for bug report. I've reproduced this bug. Try to remove the "Name" under user information on SMTP tab.

Mail Monitor don't understand if From field contain your name.

Well, this shows how nice it would be to have a log of what we have sent. Not much is needed, just copy whatever we send to a text file, and to/from/date/time. That's all.

An interface to show this file, and some options ("delete replies after x days", "Path to log file") would be nice, but not needed.

An issue is still remaining in 1.14: There is no error message when a reply is not sent successfully. To reproduce:

1. Write a reply
2. Change the To address to an invalid address, i.e. xxx
3. Send the message.

Notice that the message seems to be sent successfully.

What MM writes into log? Generaly xxx can be valid address.

Connection log: <xxx@localhost>: Recipient address rejected: User unknown in local recipient table.

My point is that this message should be given in a message box, not only in the log. Else we would have to check the connection log for every reply sent.

When I try to send to the same address from Mozilla, the same error message is presented to the user in a message box. I believe MM did that too in versions prior to 1.12.

In the next version all sent messages will be placed into the list of messages and you can delete messages with errors. Message box about error will be added too.
