Mail Monitor 1.16 sound playing more then it should!

I have a strange problem with the Mail Monitor 1.16.

I have it play a sound when I get a new Friendly e mail. But for some reason it plays the same file over and over. Like just this morning It found 15 new e mails on the server and I heard you got mail like 5 times. Is there anyway you could fix it so it only plays the sound file one time for each time it checks and finds new mail on the server?

Any idea why it does this? If this can't be fixed I may have to remove the sound file which I really don't want to.
