Hi -

For some reason since last night my True Launchbar 3.2.13 RC1 on XP SP2 doesn't appear anymore. I use the standalone launcher because of problems I have with the regular toolbar. I see tlbhost running in task manager, but even after I kill it, nothing appears when I start the standalone.

Any ideas?

Thanks

Try to delete registry key:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\True Software\tlbHost

This will reset the tlbHost settings.

Are there any known incompatibilities to True Launch Bar? I can't run it at all for some reason. The task starts, but no toolbar ever comes up. Any files or dll's I should check versions on? Does it interact with any system files?

One other clue: when I try to open a toolbar from the toolbars menu, I don't even get the dialog asking which toolbar I want to open.

Thanks again

I don't know abou any incompatibilities. To be sure TLB is registered correctly and all dependencies are valid run the command:

regsvr32 "c:\program files\truelaunchbar\tlb.dll"

If this command don't report error then TLB registered correctly.

Also try to read this topic. It describes the registry fixes.

By default TLB don't show dialog box if this is the first toolbar. Hold down the SHIFT key when click "True Launch Bar" menu item to show dialog box.

Yuri - I didn't have a tlb.dll anywhere on my system, so I downloaded from the thread you provided and copied it into the c:\program files\truelaunchbar directory and registered it. Now the Windows Toolbar Truelaunch Bar opens, but the standalone still doesn't. I'm not sure why I didn't have tlb.dll. I've uninstalled and reinstalled several times, but I don't know how that file could have been missing.

Thanks

tlb.dll must be installed when you install True Launch Bar. Do you have administrative rights on your computer?

Yes, sure do. I guess tlb.dll not being there can explain why I had trouble. I'm still not sure why the standalone won't work. I just did another install and still no standalone.

No, tlbHost don't require registration or something other.
Do you can run TLB on the taskbar?
