Program Icons in TLB

One thing is that when you back up your Quick Launch folder, and re-install TLB on a new setup, then re-copy the QL folders and icons from the backup, TLB will bring over the icons for the top level items/folders, but not for the itmes/sub-folders contained in them.

Would a complete "restore" be possible to add or generate? Where is the folder icon data stored? Maybe I'm just missing a piece.

All information about icons are saved in tlbdata.xml files. Generally if you restore TLB on new computer you must be sure that all applications and icons are in the same place as on the old computer. When you change icon you can set the option "Save with toolbar". In this case TLB saves icons with toolbar and don't lost them on restore.

Shotcuts to some applications can lost icons even if the installation path is the same. One of these apps is MS Office. To solve the problem create shortcuts to the winword.exe, excel.exe etc. and don't use the shortcuts from the Start->Programs.
