Toolbar in taskbar

I have a toolbar with three menu icons (+ text) in the taskbar (which is two rows high). The menu icons are one after the other –– horizontally.

Now, in order not to take up too much of the taskbar, I would like the menu icons (+text) to be vertical, that is, with three icons, one column with two icons and one column with one. I guess this would be called a "vertical toolbar" (see text below from the Help file).

How can I set a toolbar to "vertical"?

Toolbar become vertical when you dock it (or the taskbar) to the left or right side of the screen.
