I just updated to Volume Control 3.0. I noticed that a recent update added "mouse wheel support".

But now, when I move the wheel while it's hovering over the volume control, what changes is not the volume but the balance. I have Volume Control 3.0 set up to control "Master Speakers" only.

This isn't intended behavior, is it? Please advise.

Windows XP Professional SP2

Internet Explorer Version: 7.0.5730.11
TLB version: 4.1

I removed the old Volume Control, and added a new one in its place. Now, Windows is telling me that there are "no active mixer devices available". I don't know how this is possible, but it has not made my day.

The mouse wheel now does nothing when used while hovering over the volume control. I'm not sure if this is because of the mixer device issue.

I will update after having a few drinks. (Other problems going on. Smile)

I am in low gear today. I apologize. Since I had been updating and configuring my router's firmware (not a process to be trifled with), I had all applications closed--including the Windows Audio service, which is why I got the error.

I feel like an idiot, and again, I'm sorry for mentioning this to you as if it was related to your software.

My audio device is fine, but now the wheel does nothing when scrolled over the Volume Control slider.

Where is the Volume Control? On toolbar or inside the menu.

If the volume control on the toolbar then you can't to use mouse wheel before you activate the toolbar/taskbar. You can use our Tordex Wheel utility to fix this Windows behavior Wink

Actually, I would like an option for adding balance control in addition to just volume. Also, a minor bug seems to be that the balance is reset to center whenever the volume is changed.

Thanks,

Doug
