I love the collapse feature of TLB. I have a menu that auto-hides on the left side of my window. Right now I have too many icons to be displayed so I collapse the groups that I don't use often.

It would be very handy if TLB was setup so I could (optionally) auto collapse a group after selecting an item in it. This way, I don't have to go back and collapse it manually when I make a selection.

Thanks again!

Actually what I think should be done is have the feature

AUTO EXPAND ON MOUSE HOVER
AUTO COLLAPSE ON MOUSE LEAVE

This would then be consistent with the operation of True Launch Bar folders.

Hmm...even less clicks...sounds cool... Smile

My only concern with that is if a user has a lot of collapsed groups; would this feature make the menu jump around a lot when moving the mouse through it?

No I do not think so. If the Auto expand HOT zone was only on the BLACK triangle moving around the folder would not cause collapsed menus to expand.

This answers your request in a very elegant fashion I think.

I found a hidden feature (I think...) in the Expand/Collapse function!

I have a collapsed group which I seldom use, only one item in that group is used often. So I made a copy of this item and put it outside the collapsed group, so I didn't have to expand the whole group just to reach the one item.

But I found out today that this is totally unnecessary! When a group is collapsed, just bring up the context menu and choose the item you want to show in the "Show hidden" menu. That way, when the group is collapsed, all other items but the one you often use are hidden, but when the group is expanded all items but the one are shown. Very nice!

I hope this is a feature, not a bug. It's really useful! Big Grin

Yes, I knew that happened and it can be useful but it can be confusing if you have two collapsed groups in the same folder because both groups of buttons are shown in alphabetic order under the show hidden menu. Still your discovery that you can show just one button from a collapsed group is a nice feature.

You do great programming and create good features even when you *dont* try Smile
