I'd like to have whole song information (artist, song etc.) displayed without scrolling, yet do not waste space by just defining very wide text display area.
So, I'd suggest a feature where a text-only item may be defined as variable-width, expanding/shrinking to display just all the text it presents. Every such item should be anchored (left or right/top or bottom), so that a direction of size change is known. Fe. item anchored at left should expand/shrink at its right side. Adjacent items are moved in the same direction. See example below, items are in [] and +- signs present other elements (standard text, graphics).
