Is there a way to use Gmail with MailMonitor without using a standard mail reader? It looks like a mail reader is required in the setup.

Thanks!

Mail Reader is not required. But you can write the URL to the gmail into Mail Reader field.

Awesome...can someone point me to the info on urls for multiple gmail accounts? Not sure how to specify between 2 accounts to have them both added to the plugin.

Thanks for the link. I tried following those directions, and created 2 accounts, each one with the url to the different gmail accounts.
If I paste the url into my browser, it takes me to the account.

So in the 2 accounts I created, I entered the url in the Mail reader entry.
Do I also need to fill out the entries under the Mail Servers tab for POP3 and SMTP?

As it stands now, when I hover over the Mail Checker, it says "Impossible to Connect to the Server" for both accounts.

Yes. Mail Monitor check mail via POP3 protocol only. You can omit the SMTP server if you don't plan to send messages via Mail Monitor. Here is FAQ topic about mail monitor settings for gmail. Also note, you have to enable POP3 access in the GMail settings.

BTW, if you are using GMail, you can check your email with the News Reader plugin. Just add new channel with URL https://gmail.google.com/gmail/feed/atom and enter your login/password. This maybe the more suitable way.

Yay, got it working.

For anybody else trying to do this, in the settings for POP for gmail, use:

pop.gmail.com
SSL checked
port 995
