Hi,

I installed v6 earlier today, and noticed that it does not remember it's position on my Win7 x64 taskbar. I like it in the centre but it starts way over to the right and has to be moved each time I login.

UPDATE:- I have reverted to the last beta which works as expected. For others experiencing the issue, one has to uninstall v6.0 first and reinstall the beta. I initially installed the beta OVER v6 and it appeared to work, it did not.

Yuri, if you would like me to test this issue either PM me or post a link here.

Regards

DrT

Please can you post the screenshot of your taskbar?

Please find attached screenshots of what I see in v6 and v5.6.3-beta. This issue is 100% reproducible. v6 always starts like in the screenshot instead of my preferred position in the beta screenshot - v6 just does not remember its position here. The screen shot file names were not copied here. Attachment 1580 shows the problem, 1579 shows the preferred layout.

Regards

I've tried to reproduce this bug. But TLB saves position on my system. Please can you send the backup of your toolbar (TLB Settings->Options->Backup)?

Anyway this problem is very easy to fix:
1) Set the option TLB Settings->Toolbar->General->Minimum size into 100. This will prevent show the menu with two arrows.
2) Add the Spacer plugin to the end of the toolbar to add some empty space.

Hi Yuri,

I will send the info you requested later*...my main PC is busy doing something on Linux. However, I have *reproduced* the issue on another PC, with a very minimally populated TLB. The hardware of the two PCs is completely different pointing to a software issue/bug. Both PCs running Win7 x64 with 8GB memory each - both running the 5.6.3 beta and the problem arises on upgrading to v6. One a laptop the other a desktop. Downgrading the laptop to 5.6.3 beta to fix it, will wait for a fix rather than use the above workaround.

*Will email it rather than post it here. I can test on all versions of windows except XP-64 bit and Vista-32bit. All my PCs multiboot.

With kindest regards

Same problem here. I use a vertical taskbar with three TLB toolbars, which no longer remember their positions after a reboot since I updated to v6.0. Similar to DrTeeth, they are pulled up towards the top of the taskbar.

I'll send both screenshots and backups to support@tordex.com ...

Phew...nice to know it is not just me or my PCs Smile.

I've reproduced this bug. Thank you very much for backups. I've prepared the fixed version. You can download it here. Please can you try? I'm not sure the bug is the same as you have. My toolbars relocating after restart only when the taskbar was unlocked. If I lock the taskbar and restart, toolbars save position.

Just made a quick test with v6.0.0.1, and it seems to work fine. Thank you, Yuri - the Toolbars positions are now saved even if taskbar is not locked. Smile

So let's hope DrTeeth is going to reconfirm this...
