I have toolbars with many menus; some as many as 100. Some of those menus have submenus. I want each menu to have the same color scheme. No problem. I want each submenu to have the same color scheme (different from the menu color scheme). How do I get the same color scheme for each submenu without manually having to change the submenu options in every menu--that is, manually editing 100 menus.

I'm sorry for delay. I'm trying to find the best solution for your case. But there are no any solution for current TLB version.

I have to make the menu customizing more flexible Confused

Hi Yuri;

I have the same exact problem with sub-menus & am putting in my two cents worth hoping for a fix to this problem.

Not only is it a pain, but it seems that every time I make a change to a Main menu all my Sub menus revert back to the color of the Main menu & I have to re-set them all... one-by-one.

Thanks;
Doc

If you're that way inclined you could write a script to do it but of course it would be unsupported (unless Yuri does it)

The lack of this feature is becoming a big problem for me. Menus do not appear to have the anti-overlap option that toolbars have. So actually seeing the limits of submenus on top of large menus is almost impossible.

In the upcoming version the updated "Customize menu" will be released. I've prepared the video to show updated menu customizing process:

As you see, now you can customize submenus by any level in one place. So if you have 100 menus you don't need to open any menu and customize the sub-menus.

I have to make some tests and the new version will be published.

Thinking about menu customizing... Should I add the "extra levels" for "tear off" and docked menus? What do you think?

Version 6.6.4 beta is released with redesigned "Customize menu".

In addition to the normal "levels" I've added the "levels" for torn off and docked menus.

For me, this feature does not work. I follow the instructions, as illustrated by the video. The result is still that each menu has its own color scheme for its submenus, and each submenu continues to have its own color scheme for its subsubmenus, and so on. I see no improvement.

I am using 6.64 beta (64 bit).
For any given toolbar, on some menus it works. On some menus it does not work.

Try to turn on "Overwrite sub-menu options". This will reset all custom options for submenus and submenus will use the options from parent.

I have tried that. Does not work. Also, it is not clear from exactly where I should do that. From my mouse on the offending menu? Mouse on one of the non-submenu items in the offending menu? Mouse on one of the submenus on the offending menu?
But, no matter where my mouse is when I right click to get Customize Menu, checking the box to overwrite the submenus does not reset their color schemes.
