True Launch Bar v6.6.7 RC1 is released.

What's new:
  • Text with shadow for menu/toolbar items.
  • Option for "More Icons" button size (toolbar button with two arrows).
  • Support for system colors in TLB skins.
  • Run on mouse hover for single button.
  • Show hotkeys for plugins in the menu.
  • Portable mode: use default toolbars inside the toolbars subfolder.
  • Portable mode: TLB Components Manager is compatible with portable mode.
  • Option to show Standalone TLB over the full screen applications (not in auto-hide mode only).
Fixed:
  • The spaces are trimmed in the tooltips.
  • Some minor bugs fixed.

If you want to try the portable mode

Download the 32-bit or 64-bit (the same as your Windows version) package:
Download 32-bit portable package
Download 64-bit portable package

unzip it into any folder and run tlbhost.exe. With the portable mode you can use True Launch Bar in standalone version only. It is impossible to open portable True Launch Bar on the taskbar.

The packages does not include plugins. Run the tlbupd.exe to install/update the plugins.

Download True Launch Bar v6.6.7 RC1

Just curious -- what would the new 'portable' mode be used for?

Chaznet, it was based on my request. Whenever reinstalling, it is absolutely brutal for the user to have to retune all of their software. One can keep all of the settings on D:\ partition and keep C:\ for system only. WIPE C, reinstall, and since D holds portable settings, you can run like new Smile

Yuri - I will test. thank you soooooo much for all the new portable stuff!!
Yuri, I can't get portable toolbar to work. The moment I delete the toolbar C:\Users\TLB\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Quick Launch it automatically deletes it. When I try to add stuff, it puts it in this same folder.

Is there something different I am supposed to do?

sevbsn, maybe you have to switch into the default toolbar? Right-click the toolbar and select Switch Toolbar->Default Toolbar.

TLB saves the last toolbar used and open it when you open the first toolbar.

If you need more then one toolbar, create the folders for the toolbars in "toolbars" subfolder and they will be listed in the New Toolbar dialog and in Switch toolbar menu.

I think I got it Yuri. I had to change the toolbar location from SETTINGS / Options / Toolbars tab / "Toolbar Folder" to my TLB directory and now it is portable Smile
I also had to delete the readme.txt file in that directory
