Make menu appear above/below button

I currently have moved TLB and the taskbar to the left side of my desktop. One of the rows is 6 icons of menus. However, highlighting one blocks all of them to right, where the menu covers it up.

I'd like to have a way to make the menus appear below the button so I can move left and right without clicking and waiting.
