I am using TLB v2.2.0.18 RC3 and I keep encountering an error when I try to install other programs. For instance, I have installed TLB and then I go and try to install one of my favourite ID3 tag editors, Taggin' MP3. But once the installation file extracts itself, the TLB installer comes up. This has happened numerous times with many different programs. Every time I run a self extracting installation file, TLB starts installing. Something must be borked with Windows' temp files or something. Can anyone recreate this error?

Try to clear TEMP folder. It can be located here: C:\temp or inside "Documents and Settings". Press WIN+R and type %TEMP%

I've tried that. Is there anything else you can suggest?

Strange problem...Try to find and delete the setup file. Its name can be found in the task manager. Note this will be not a downloaded setup.exe

When TLB setup starts open taskmanager and in the Image Name column find process of this installer the name by default is setup.exe but may be different. Find this file on the disk. By default it inside TEMP folder bu maybe somewhere in other place. Now delete this file and try to install other applications.

BTW Somebody else have same problems?

I've tried to find the setup file, but to no avail. This is very annoying.

OK, Uninstall TLB then download and install this version. It uses other installation so problem must be fixed.

PS. Please change your sig - it is very large Sad

I uninstalled and installed your new version and the problem persists. It's not really a big deal though, it only glitches up crappy installers. It's a small price to pay for my glorious TLB! I don't think I could live without it.

P.S. Do you want my signature smaller horizontally or vertically?

downloaded any self-extracting file with it, it would mess up. But if I download the same file through Internet Explorer it works. It seems weird to me though, I don't understand how the program that downloads the file would have anything to do with how it is run. Oh well, problem solved.

P.S is this sig better?

Why would it be a joke? Signatures are not sticky, so when one changes his sig, the signature below older posts also changes Wink
