Command Line extras

It would be great if there were the regular Edit commands available in the context menu of Command Line such as Cut, Copy and Paste. Really it is Paste that is the most desireable.

Ctrl+X, Ctrl+C and Ctrl+V work properly, isn't that all you need?

Maybe when the Context Menu Builder is released, it would have "hidden" menu items such as Cut, Copy etc. So people who want these items can do so without other displeasing other people :roll:

Sounds like you may have some frustrations and too many items in your context menus. There is a pretty little programme we are looking at called Context Edit that you may wish to utilise to delete/edit some of your context items.

Sorry I cannot understand where do you want that menu items? For all buttons (so why this in plugins forum) or for command line plugin?

Sometimes when reading an article there is a mention to place a command in the Start>Run field. It is easier to just Copy the information and Paste in the "Run" field. Now we are using Command Line Plugin and this plugin does not have a Paste option in the right-click context menu.

Perhaps the article may say something like, "Click on Start then Run and type in "diskmgmt.msc" without the quotes and click OK."

If we highlight diskmgmt.msc, copy it and click on the Command Line Plugin there is no Paste option found there. So then we must use the Start>Run function and not the Command Line Plugin. Without this feature the Command Line Plugin has limited use.

Thank you. Now I see. Currently you can use keyboard shortcuts (CTRL+V) to paste into cmdline.

In Command Line plugin properties, create a new alias.

For example:

(don't forget the quotes if the name of the directory contains any spaces)

Now simply type 'foo' to open the directory in a new explorer window. Seems pretty straightforward to me...

Well, perhaps some TLB forum visitor knows if and how this is possible, but you'd better ask this in a MS Office related newsgroup or forum...

You just need to know the syntax to make it work on the (Windows) command prompt, and then you can copy that line straight into a TLB Command Line alias.

Where can I find a group like that?
