creating skins

HI. Is there a tutorial for making media control skins around. I can't seem to find the color codes or am I able to get the buttons to work. I got the title of the song and the length of the song in the right position by playing with it but the buttons won't change colors nor will the text of the song or time. Thanks.

Ok thanks. however I can't get the buttons to light up when the mouse hovers over. how is this done. If i copy and paste from another skin it don't change for hover etc either even though the other skin would.

In the PNG with buttons there are 4 images:

Normal
Mouse hover
Mouse down
Disabled

If you want change the color then you must to chage button state in PNG

I've done that and its set up correctly in the png however if I copy and paste from another skin inf file it will work if I don't change the position of the button. But as soon as i edit the numbers to move the botton the images stop working and only show one state. Is there another setting that I'm missing when moving buttons that renders the states unusable? I ran into the same problem with the text as well. As far as moving text it will scroll if moved in a certian order but won't scroll if moved again by a few digits. So I got it to where the text is huge and said forget it i'll make a huge skin. Also colors won't work right when I add a color code such as 1499529 which shows up darkblue but should be green not blue. Its just my main concern right now is to get the buttons to work correctly in the image states. Then I"ll play with the text options some more after I get my buttons complete.

Ok I think i figured out the buttons. The numbers in the rect area were a bit confusing but i found that if u put 4 5 for the first 2 numbers u should put 8 and 10 for the second 2 numbers for example you would have
rect=4 5 8 10 where the 4 is the position of up or down for image state 1 normal and 8 10 is the image state 1 hover, etc. Is this the correct way. Or the hardway. I found it easy though cause I take the calculator and lets say i have my button at rect=34 i then add 34+34 to get my 3rd digit in the rect line. I haven't tried this soloution on the text yet.
