[solved] Weather Plug-In Can't Search for Location Code

The Weather Plug-In uses "where.yahooapis.com" to look up location codes. That subdomain no longer exists, so the weather app is rendered unusable unless the location code is already known. I'm guessing that if the "where" API is gone, other APIs may be broken, as well. I really miss this plug-in; I used to really like having it. I'd love a fix!

It used to be that if one goes to the regular Yahoo Weather page and sets it to their location one could take the last set of numbers from the resulting URL and use that for location BUT . . . Here it is no longer working like that as well as to confirm that where.yahooapis.com is not online at the moment it seems.

Perhaps the problem has to do with logging in to Yahoo. We have never done this so our last WF plugin may have been grandfathered in from a long time ago before Yahoo wanted the login information. Now having deleted and attempting to make a new install of the WF Plugin it seems not to work any longer and the box is checked to try to use default authorisation.

It seems the firewall is not blocking anything concerning this either.

So now we have lost our TLB Weather Forecast unfortunately.
