Hi. I posted a screenshot of my thumbnails for games being wrong. However its on page 1 of this http://forum.tsoftcentral.com/viewtopic....38&start=0 and needs to be downloaded. I will attach it here again on this discussion. [Image: boxes_of_games_displayed_wrong_114.jpg] As you can see what I mean by this. Its from the games exploer area of vista. I just made it as a menu instead of a short cut on tlb. I am not sure whats going on. To test it out yuri you can download guildwars and install it. As long as its installed it will show up. Don't need a code to download guildwars. Its at www.guildwars.com. Although all games I install show up in the games explorer of vista such as the ones seen in my screen shot and sim city 4, Diablo 2 etc. But tlb stretches the images. and they get dull looking as shown. But for tlb to show the box images as a thumbnail vistas game explorer needs to be opened for it to download the content from the internet. This is how it gets the images for the games. Then stores the images in a folder located at C:\Users\username\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows\GameExplorer\GamesBoxArt replace the username with the user account your using in vista. Such as c:\users\johndoe\appdata..... This is where the box art is located for each game. Downloaded from the net via games exploer.

Not only that but there are several other types of file extensions with the wrong icons. Like .zip has a text file icon. I can post a screen shot later.

I have a My Documents virtual folder with a file within that folder that is attached to Win + K hot key. I also have the My Documents folder set to startup within appearance but for some reason or another, it isn't working. When I start my computer I need to go into the My Docs virtual folder first before being able to use the Win + K hot key. I again have the folder set to startup but that makes no difference.

Not sure why, but I'm unable to install 4.1.6. I had 4.1.5 installed and tried to install 4.1.6 over it, but no luck. I then tried to uninstall 4.1.5 and had an issue, but finally got if off my machine. I rebooted, then tried to install 4.1.6, but still the same results.

It fails at the same point each time. (See "capture.jpg) I also noticed that it did manage to put a few folders and one file in Program Files (see "capture2.jpg").

Thoughts? :?:

Did you use the TLB "Check for updates..." button or did you try the update manually? If you tried manually try the button instead. It may work. Also you may have to try to reinstall 4.1.5 first.

And for Yuri's sake, which OS are you using? And is it 32 or 64 bit?

EDIT: I see you have another posting about the same problem elsewhere. Please contnue to post about the problem there.

Yuri,

Anytime a new program installs a Quick Launch icon it does not show up properly. Ever since the 4.1.5RC I've been seeing this. The icon shows up as though it is pointing to no actual .exe file. Thanks.

I tried both and both methods came back with the same result.

Attepmting to install 4.1.5 yields the same results as well.

I'm using Vista Home Premium 32bit

OK. I'll use the other post going forward. Thanks for your help!

I installed the RC1 yesterday, but now my own startmenu with the hotkey 'WIN' attached to it (so only the Win-key without any other) won't display. Pressing the Win-key shows the standard Windows startmenu... Sad
Kind regards,
Cornelis

Win key works together with StartKiller. So you must disable Start Menu in the StartKiller and Enable to process Win key in TLB

Hmm, somehow a second StartKiller process was running. Now it works again, thanks!
