[solved] Menu Background color change

I am not able to change the background color of my menu. I change the background color in menu settings but it makes no difference. If, under General Options, I change the skin it will change color but not manually. This is happening on both of my computers. What am I doing wrong? (using the latest version of TLB on a Win 7 machine)

The menu background color can be applied to the "<default skin>" only. All other skins use own backgrounds that can be changed safely.
