TrueLaunchBar no longer starts with Windows XP (v1.0.17 beta). It infact isn't even listed in the Toolbars list! You must reinstall TrueLaunchBar and then your able to enable it and use it. You reboot. Its gone and so is its listing in Toolbars.

No. Its unregistered. It shows the new Truesoft logo and so forth, everytime it reboots it disapears.

I only started using this a few days ago on a recommendation from a friend.

I got it working. It wasn't actually disapearing. My brother would switch accounts and was using quicklaunch instead of your program and I never even thought about different user settings.

Great program btw.. so handy.

One feature I'd like to see .. would be a sort feature to make things neater.

So not so MAJOR bug after all huh?
That's why it's called a beta test version. Your supposed to check and confirm errors before reporting them.

So what do you want to sort? Try to be a bit more clearer. How about telling us which OS your using?

I think OS is Windows XP Smile
The funny thing - after switching user the toolbar list do not include True Launch Bar. It is enough to run setup.exe (do not rename it) and press cancel. After closing setup Windows rebuild toolbar list Smile This is known problem of Microsoft but they do not do something do correct this (XP contains this bug too).

Anyways Dougy, was I talking to you?

I said I made a mistake and thats it.

As far as sorting, basically, being able to click on a launch bar folder and sort. What else would you sort?

Dougs right. You gotta check more carefully before you post a bug report I tried to duplicate your problem on three machines to find you an answer but everything was ok.

Also XP is not released yet so you expect to have problems.

Sorting can be done by opening the folder and choosing sort by name which is a standard windows option. Is that what you meant.

No 'cavey' you weren't talking to me but who cares because I was talking to you. When you post something like

v1.0.17 Bug! (Major!)

It looks like you have really dicovered something big.
How long did you test before you posted it. 5 minutes.

If you knew *anything* at all about beta testing you would have gone through a check list of possible settings to verify your 'major' bug was in fact a bug and not just some 'user' error.

As for sorting - did you even try opening the folder and pressing right click. Ooooo look caveman it says SORT. Ain't that something.

And if you knew anything about how XP works, you can open the folder and sort it however it doesn't save it in order for TrueLaunch Pad!

As far as beta testing goes, I made a mistake and I admit that but I do know what beta testing means. I was a beta tester for Madden 1997 and 1998 and NHL 1999 for EA Sports and was accepted and did beta test XP.
