Weather monitor icons problem ! - help me please

i downloaded all the very nice icons of weather.com

all are in gif format ... i changed the ini file for thes gif file but

it cannot read the gif !

ONLY PNG FILES ARE GOOD ???

Just for curiousity - do you have a good image viewer such as Irfanview? It can view almost all kinds of images. You can get it here: <!-- w --><a class="postlink" href="http://www.irfanview.com/">www.irfanview.com/</a><!-- w -->
All the icons in the icon file need to be in .png format and Irfanview can change them even as simple as a right-click to whichever format you desire. If you still need assistance please repost here.

to have all weather.com icons
you need getright and need to make a list of download (.grx for getright)

and inside it you write all files you want to download :

for 31*31 icons

and for 52*52 icons

No - what is meant is that for TrueLaunch Bar Weather Monitor to work is that the icons need to be in .png format in the icon file. So when you download Weather Monitor you will have something like C:\Program Files\TrueLaunch Bar\Plugins\Weathermon\skins\Full 32\icons. There are about 70 different icons for weather in general but it is only necessary to have about 10-15 to start. You can add your favorite icons as you go. You only need to download them and size them (usually most people use 32x32) and then make sure they are all in .png format. By the way - the spelling and case are critical for the icons and files. For example - Partly Cloudy is not the same as Partly cloudy or partlycloudy. Just make sure all match - both code and icon names.

That's correct, you can only use png files. You have to convert your gif files into png files to use them.

Gif is an 8 bit (255 colors + 2 levels of transparency) format. Png is a 32 bit (16 million colors + 256 levels of transparency) format. Therefore, any gif can be converted to png without loss of quality.

You can make the weather.com gif files into png files so that you can use them with TLB.

With Irfanview you can change any .gif icon to a .png icon.
