I hid some shortcuts and now I want them back! I look at the tlbdata file.... what a mess...
Can you please put it in some human readable and configurable format?

Maybe you shoud read the FAQ about hiding and unhiding buttons before you start messing with the tlbdata and complaining here.

Read this Hiding and Unhiding Buttons

Look, I post here because I can't find the answer, not because I haven't tried. I've already looked at the faq BUT it's a different version than my 2.2. So what? A mandatary upgrade? Take it or leave it?

What are you talking about? It's not a *different* version at all! It's just an earlier version.

Hide and unhide option works just the same. Right click and choose from context menu. Just how difficult can that be.

well if you _have_ used 2.2, you _will_ find out that the interface is different, and there's _no_ "Show Hidden" menu at all anywhere.

If you haven't, try the 2.2 trial version from the download page.

Sounds a bit foolish to me, don't know in what way the interface is different!

See attached screenshot, it really didn't change.

And, when requesting support, please state some systeminfo, as Doug Smith also said. Read here

Cornelis

Which tlb 2.2 version? The current beta is 2.2.0.18 RC3.

According to your menu, it seems that no items are hidden. Are you sure you haven hidden these, or did you accidentally delete the items?
Kind regards,
Cornelis

mine is the original 2.2, not beta... never trust any beta...
and after reading the release note, the "Show hidden" menu is not on the 2.2 release... waiting for the next major release.

thanks all that tried to help

OK, that's your choice. It's my opinion that products like TLB which are developed continuously are worth a try, even if it is a beta version. That's the only way to really help developers making a good product. But that's just my 2 cents.

Errr, it's not SUPPOSED to be human readable, but as it's only an XML file, a number of freeware tools exist to enable you to read it easily.

Don't use a hammer to crack a nut (or notepad to read XML). Choose the right tool for the job and things go smoothly...
Back once again...

Doug was right. The option didn't change at all. If player had taken a couple of minutes he would have found it. I've used every version and hid and unhide are easy to use.

All this talk about tlbdata or diffrent versions is just player trying not to admit he didn't check the FAQ.

you sure it's in xml?
i thought xml files all have the format:
<?xml version="..."?>
<whatever>
...
</whatever>

THIS is much more readable.

Again, maybe Yuri rewrote the tlbdata file in xml after the original 2.2 release, so you and I may be seeing different thing. dont know

Tlbdata files were converted to XML format sometime since version 2.2 was released. 2.2 still uses the weird unordered list file thing. The show hidden thing is fixed now, and will work in the next non-beta release, but really, I've never had a major problem with any of the betas. I'd recommend just getting the latest beta. It's just a name change away from an official release, anyway, I think.
