Ever since i installed TLB 3.2.4 my explorer has been crashing randomly. It doesn`t matter if i`m opening a folder, double clicking a file to open it or just listening to mp3s, it crashes randomly and i haven`t been able to find a pattern or a possible cause.

Suddenly explorer crashes and restarts, but soon after that it crashes again and it goes on and on. The only solution was to disable TLB and then go back to 3.2.3 beta.

i have 2 virtual menus (My computer and one for a D:\ drive), 1 media controller, 1 separator and 1 normal menu.

System and app specs:

TLB 3.2.4 beta
Media plugin 4.2.0.0
XP Pro Service Pack 1
Shell 6.0.2800.1106
IE 6.0.2800.1106

P4 2.66Ghz
512mb DDR 333
Ati Mobility R9000 w 64DDR

I have just experienced this also with a folder containing video files seems to occur when explorer is populating the dimensions data.

Does not occur if TLB is not active.

i also just noticed it`s mostly happening with folders containing video, but not always.

also if TLB is disabled, no crashes occur.

I've just installed 324 and am having explorer crashes as well......

Something in the code of 324 and Explorer conflict........

Once I install the weather forecast.........and touch it BOOM........

I had to remove weather forecast.......tried both skins "default16"
and "default32"

Another problem I've found with 324, is that it sometimes "forgets" that I have large ICONS selected............and it randomly gos to small icons...

Only WMV and AVI for me but it's like TLB is in a loop screen flashes and task bar closes then reopens then closes etc, requires a hard reset.

Definately TLB because when the computer restarts without TLB you can view the files

Until they get around to fixing this nasty bug you can use this explorer tool that does not crash on media files.

It's FREE and very small

well for me it crashes when i open a folder that has video files and displays them as thumbnails or, if folder view is set to icons, it crashes as soon as i doubleclick to play the video file.

EDIT: Just noticed this. If folder view is set to icons explorer will crash when i click to play the video file and it craches as soon as the preview appears in the left side panel.

YES but only with WMV AVI for me, not only explorer crashes but entire start bar reloads,

Can't be hard to prove, stick 4 or 5 WMV's in a folder and try it.

Well, apparently it only happens on some systems... For example, I haven't had a single crash with TLB 3.2.4, not even when browsing folders with dozens of movie files.

So the first step is really to find a way to reproduce it. This might be related to some specific, non-obvious explorer or TLB settings...

Well I can tell you this as a fact, I have just gone back to 3.2 no issues, then to 3.2.3 beta with no issues.

So if it is system dependant it is being introduced by 3.2.4 beta, which I will avoid until fixed :x
