Windows Version: Microsoft Windows 2000 Professional Service Pack 2 (Build 2195)
Shell Version:5.0.3502.4718
Internet Explorer Version: 6.0.2600.0000

I have my home page displayed on my desktop as active desk. I have two True Launch Bar tool bars active. Up until version 1.2.2. my system was very stable and there were no problems.

I installed 1.2.3 and immediately I began having problem. From time to time my system would FREEZE.

I would have to press CTRL-ALT-ESC - choose to stop EXPLORER.EXE then repress CTRL-ALT-ESC then

LOG OFF and LOG ON.

This would happen about every 20 minutes. I feel confident 1.2.3 was causing this problem. Perhaps it ACTIVE DESKTOP is not so stable also.

I have now restored version 1.2.2 and I have had no problems.

So at the moment I cannot use 1.2.3 Sad

Maybe i can confirm this ... had 3 freezes since yesterday which was incidently the day i installed TLB 1.2.3

Anyway haven´t yet mad out a pattern for this behavior. Could possibly happen when explorer is busy doing different stuff. Iirc happened two times while using the "minimize all" function.

Will keep an eye on it ... ???

Yep. Same here. Installed 1.23 on my home machine and it's been freezing and hanging up every since. The other machine at home has 1.22 and it has no problem

Looks like we have a problem.

There is a situation that can cause True Launch Bar to freeze.

If you are using MAIL MONITOR with the check time set quite low i.e. every 1 or 2 minutes *and* mail arrives at the same time you are clicking on a Button on the bar then True Launch Bar will freeze.

Maybe only an obscure bug but this may be a problem.

Please try this version. I cannot reproduce the explorer freeze, but I've made some changes in the code to prevent freeze.

Please let me know about results of testing.

All shortcuts runs random prog or only some of them? Maybe that shortcut is pointed to invalid path. In this case Windows will try to valid path and can replace the target of shortcut.

Sad Sad With deep sadness I must report the return of the freeze bug even after installing new version of tlb.dll

For absolute certainty I will reinstall Windows this next few days and check once again.

Target: "C:\Program Files
otepad Pro
otepad Pro.exe"
Start In: "C:\Program Files
otepad Pro"

Tries to run EZ-CD Creater setup.. then I stop it twice and it loads the .exe in shortcut.

Wierd.. Sad

Theres others just can't think of them..

PS: its prob system prblem or something *shrug* I will se what is it.. dont think its really TLB

Well after much work to reinstall Windows I have now been able to succesfully install True Launch Bar 1.2.3.

Thanks to Mr. Doug Smith for helping me. We both think that it was a conflict with Microsoft Office XP SR1.

Our advice:

If you are using True Launch Bar and MS Office XP and you are going to install SR1 (service Release 1) you should UNINSTALL True Launch Bar first then install SR1 and then reinstall True Launch Bar.
