Hello Everyone

We downloaded some skins from the TLB website and placed them in the skins folder(TLB>Skins). Well when we go to Tlb settings and Skins, the only one that we have to choose is default.

Shapeshifter - they all say version = 2

Thanks

Are you sure the downloaded SKIN folder is actually in TLB/SKINS directory.

If so did you REFRESH True Launch Bar after putting the Skin in the directory?

Also, can you tell us which skin(s) you downloaded?

We downloaded the (XP) Blue, Green Dream, Italian and Liqpix. Refreshed and did a close/open several times.

Well, I just downloaded the Liqpix skin and had no problem. I unzipped the file into my \TrueLaunchBar\SKINS directory. I made sure I had winzip set to use the directory structure in the zip file, which created the Liqix subfolder. Then I opened up TLB settings, went to the skins tab, and Liqpix was already there - no refreshing or rebooting required. I'm not sure what's going wrong on your system.

Hi QSection

Just a thought. If you can view your Registry, check out the following. Go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\True Software\TrueLaunchBar\SkinsPath

Check to see if that is where you are putting the Skins you downloaded. If not edit the Registry for the correct area.

Hope this helps. Wink

Is this just not amazing? There is no SKINS key in the registry! We have hklm>Software>True Software>TrueLaunchBar>Icons and plugins only! Someone post here the info for the proper item in the registry, please. Hmmm - can not imagine where it went!??!

Thank you shapeshifter and bbfi

SkinsPath is string value. You can create it by hand. But I recommend you reinstall TLB over currently installed version.

Hello Everyone

We re-installed TLB over exisitng and it still did not add a SKINS string to registry. When we did the setup we checked almost all the options. Mainly we wish to say we are showing version 2.2.0.1. So...what can the problem be? I know we can add the string manually (and do not mind doing it) but why is there no string added automatically? 98SE, IE6.0.

I'll check installer maybe it know that TLB installed and do not want recreate registry keys Sad

Right now you can create this key by hand. In the SkinsPath write the path to the TLB->Skins folder.
