I just noticed that some processes are listed twice. I compared the list to the normal task manager and surely enough they're only listed once in there, so I don't have multiple instances running by mistake either.

Specifially, the processes CursorXP and Outpost.exe show up. (CursorXP is a cursor eye candy tool, and Outpost is the Agnitum Outpost Pro firewall.)

Both are run as my local user and I can't see anything special about them.

After restarting some processes they now appear as one instance only, now instead explorer and iexplore.exe appear as multiple instance instead. (No, they are not.). So it would seem this is a bug indeed.

Hello Anam Cara

One possibility regarding Outpost is perhaps the update service and regular Outpost files are showing. Do you by any chance have Outpost set to check for updates? If you also check your Start>Run>MSCONFIG and look at the startup programmes you may find Outpost has two different entries listed (as per normal).

Please let us know.

Yeah, I've seen it often... and especially when using End process from the Process Viewer plugin, double or even triple entries appear. You can test this safely with something like calc.exe, or notepad.exe.
Windows 7, IE 9.0, Shell 6.0.6000.16386, TLB 4.2.3 beta

As said, I double checked that it isn't listed among the normal processes when looking in the task manager, only in the process viewer.

The version of it would be 2.0.

That didn't seem to re-trigger it.

Right now it is working as it should, I haven't been able to force the problem to re-occur, it happens randomly.

I reported this much earlier:

I'm here with a new bug for the "fixed" version. Now, it doesn't show duplicated processes even though there might be more than one! For example, if you open up 3 instances of Notepad, the first time you open the Process viewer, you'll see three notepad.exe's, but if you open it again, only one will show up.

I'm not sure how the original bug was fixed, but it seems to have brought up a new one... Wink
