hello!

i want to share screenshots of my set-up of truelaunchbar with you guys.

[Image: tlb-showcase.png] [Image: tlb-foobar.png] [Image: tlb-servant_salamander.png]

you can say i like dark themes Wink. this is heavily modded half-life 2 visual style.

i use three tlb toolbars on taskbar:
- on top, there's small toolbar with three text buttons (first leads to sort of alternative start menu, second is 'recently accessed' and third is standard start menu)
- in the bottom, there's my main toolbar with buttons (3-state pngs) to different menus and plugins: drive space, weather forecast, netmonitor and clock
- just above this toolbar, there's another one. it's sensing toolbar with shortcuts to different applications, which activate sensing. you can see toolbar for 'overclock / stability' testing and 'foobar' toolbar.

for the foobar toolbar, you can see there are more buttons that what's actually possible inside media control plugin's skin. that's because the first row is not part of the skin, but 3-state png buttons executing different foobar's actions (menu commands) through command line switches.

second screenshot shows foobar (imho best music player for windows) and you can see hower state of one button (these buttons are previous directory <or album>, next directory, random song, mute mixer and activate).

finally, the last screenshot shows servant salamander, imho best file manager for windows. you can also see my pseudo-start menu in truelaunchbar. i use two spacer plugins - one to get the icons to the second column and the other for moving text buttons to the bottom.

-- i should request some new features in proper forums. in short, i would like to be able to use something like command=menu:playback/random in media control plugin's skins (i.e. the part after menu: is parameter and refers to menu item / action in foobar).

the other feature request would be for spacer plugin - i would like to be able to do what i do with those two spacer plugins without setting their sizes (by try-fail method). something like 'end column', 'fill space in column' checkboxes etc.

That's some impressive customizing of colors and skins. Great job!

You might want to add your best screenshot to the Desktop Gallery. It has been a while since last entry there...

Very nice. How did you make the recently used menu?

Here's mine:

nice jkdclick ... i simply love tlb Smile.

as for the recently used menu - i tried ctrl+drag'n'drop the recent menu from the toolbar to the menu, but that did not work (it just copied the items and lost its function). so i created virtual folder from that folder and that works just fine, so i can have multiple recently used menus per toolbar (and maybe sort the other by run count).

hello jkdclick! sorry for the late reply. well as you can create only one recently used menu per toolbar (new -> recently accessed), i got around like this: i created that menu on the toolbar ('recent') and then made virtual folder submenu on the main menu ('menu'), pointing to the folder created by tlb in the previous step. i guess one could use that to have two and more 'recently used / accessed' menus with different looks (only icons in matrix, icon + text in 2 columns etc.) + different sorts (last run time / runs count / by name etc.).

one has to love tlb Smile.
